If you were going to keep your 16 inch wheels, I would say go with Bilsteins. I have the linear suspension and 16 inch wheels and the Bilsteins are nice and firm, Bun not harsh. The new shocks cut out all of the float I was getting on the 170K stock Sachs shocks.
However, if the car had the Aero suspension and 17 inch wheels, I could see the ride becomming unpleasant on a long trip with Bilsteins.
