Should I do the water pump swap or the shop??

I have been taking care of my 2002 9-5 Linear since when it was at 38K miles and now it's at 142K miles. I have done O2 sensors, brakes (2), replaced all the hoses, alternator, and replaced the turbo as well.. The last time when the water pump went out and I didn't have time and the weather was getting cold, so I let this Saab enthusiast did the water swap for me. He seems to know what he's doing, so I let him do the work with all the new parts...
Now, the water is leaking around the water pump area, I don't think it'
s the pump at all... I suspect the o-rings. The U-shape hose is in good shape and no visual leakage from there...
I have called around, there's one shop near by that I could trust my Saab with and they quoted $500+ for the entire job. Now, I was wondering if I should do the work myself and save some money or have a shop do the work and get the warranty...
I am capable doing this work after I have read all the postings and on the forums.. The weather here doesn't get above 40 degrees until for another 3 months or so... I figure, the leakage is very little and it's only leaking when I park the car for a week or so and not when I'm using it everyday..
Oh, the shop said that it takes about 5 hours of labor the work..
What would you Saab's expert think I should do in my case?
Thanks,
Rick P.
