I think it took me about two hours and I'm slow. If you get a 45 degree day it would be fine outside. Probably the o-ring leaking but replace the pump since you're going to the bother. Lubricate the o-rings so they don't twist or bind and make sure you get the right o-rings. As I recall, some pump brands don't come with the right o-ring set. And go for a high quality pump so you don't have to do this again in a year or two - cheap pump = false economy. You might want to think about replacing the thermostat and coolant temperature sensor if they haven't been done in a while. They are cheap parts that fail often and easy to do with the colant drained. Change the coolant too while you're at it for a job well done.
