I was in the same boat as you. You can take the switch apart and clean up all of the contacts to get the windows up. It won't last though. That switch will fail again.
FWIW I carry a spare window switch, known good from a junkyard. Once I took the switch apart I realized it was rather poorly made and I did not want to get caught with my windows down again.
I've taken apart all manner of saab switches from 900, 9000 and I'd say none are very well made, But at least the windows switches from the older models are individually replaceable.
