Still getting ACC code 11 Posted by Don M [Email] (#1349) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don M) on Sun, 17 Mar 2013 11:35:38 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I did the self diagnostic test and got a code 11, which indicates a right blend door problem. So,after spending 5 hours contorting myself in ways I never thought possible, I replaced my broken blend door shaft and stop arm with a couple of parts I got from the Saabsite butI'm still getting the same code.
In my case, the shaft wasn't broken in two but it had a split in it so the hex output shaft of the stepper motor wasn't able to grip it and the motor just turned uselessly. So I had to reach behind to saw the shaft in two pieces so I could remove the broken split section of the shaft, slide the new Blend Door Insert over the remaining portion of the shaft, and then mount the new aluminum stop arm. When I do the test I can see that everything now seems to be working but I'm still getting code 11. Why would that be? Very frustrating.
I'm not happy about the thought of going in there again so I guess the second part of my question is, if I just leave things as they are will my AC and heater work like they're supposed to? What are the actual symptoms of a code 11?
