I'm on my 3rd Saab. Started with a 1992 9000. Best car I've ever owned and got me hooked on Saabs. Traded up for a 1998 9000 CSE - awesome as well. Finally in a 2004 9-5 Aero Wagon. I'm at the 128K miles and facing a major decision - keep or sell? Aero is fun to drive, get's good gas mileage, and wagon is practical. On the downside, constant upkeep (little switches, replacements, nuisances), not that practical in winter due to low chassis, and fairly high insurance. Right now car needs 4 new shocks and suspension bushings, 2 new tires in the rear due to sagging springs, in addition to some minor maintenance like HID lights, dash bulbs, etc.
Seeing as this will be quite expensive and cost me a bunch of time, I'm trying to decide whether to cut bait - sell it and replace with something more efficient/reliable. Thinking 2006-2007 prius at this point due to value and efficiency. I know it won't be as fun to drive, but if I don't need to tinker with it every month and get almost twice the gas mileage, would be a good trade.
Am I crazy?
