I was planing to use a 2425 belt which is 10cm or ~3/8 of an inch longer. Your proposed 96 inch belt is a 2440 on the Goodyear site. The belt I removed from my '08 was a 2425. I suspect this was the original factory install based on belt branding (SAAB is printed on the belt).
I was able to install the eEuro provided 2415 belt but it wasn't easy. I now have a mysterious whine from the engine compartment which I need to resolve and might be related to the shorter belt or original tensioner.
I would not recommend a 97-inch belt as that would be 1-inch of slack on each side of the tensioner.
