Okay your tips helped me get it back on! Thank you! Now for the best part.
Car has 115k on it. I bought it from a kid and he only had it for about 5 months. He had recently changed the oil but just went to a quick lube place and they put dino 10w30 in it. So that got me concerned and I was getting vibration at stop in gear ( that would get better when car warmed up) and timing chain seemed noisy. The longer I drove it the more the vibration would go away and it would quiet down. But oil level was full.
Well when I got the pan off the pick up tube was about 70% plugged but the crud in the bottom of the pan was bad. No coffee grounds but just junk. It seemed like the oil left in the bottom was accumulating crap and even if it did not get caught in the pick up tube it would still make it difficult and suck up tight to it.
Anyway got it all back together and holy cow. Timing is now quiet. Pulls like a bat out of hell. Runs quiet and little to no vibration at stop in gear. I drove it up and down the highway and it was like a new car. I know now that it was starving for oil. Might have had enough pressure but the volume was definately not there.
Thanks for all your help and yes you need two people to get that pan back in. One to pry the motor over that little bit while you pry it with a screwdriver. Popped right up after that.
