Bad sub-frame bushings??... Having owned two 9-5s, a 2000 lpt and now a 2008 Aero, I am a little surprised that both you and Bill are reporting poor ride quality. There was a short period of time wherein the redesigned sub-frame bushings installed at the factory were very short lived. I am thinking the bad design was for only the 2004 and 2005 model years, afterward the factory returned to a design identical (or very close) to the earlier bushings.
Perhaps worn/failed sub-frame bushings is what is causing your ride quality issues? I installed an Aero suspension in my 2000 after 200K miles and I liked that ride better than stock. Both my 9-5s were/are sedans and the wagons are reported as being more touchy in regards to suspension, particularly in the rear.
