I bought a spare when eeuroparts cautioned the price was going up and I had just replaced the B version in our 2003 Aero. Our 2003 Aero B version lasted 5 years, 2 months and 67,100 miles. South Texas is hot in the summer and mild in the winter. Not really a lot of short trips - had some long cross country trips in there too over the 5 years. I got in the habit of opening the hood of the car when returning home on hot days to possibly help the engine cool but I honestly can't say if it does any good.
