It's possible, I suppose, but when I looked into it in EPC, I seem to recall that the rear holes may be already drilled and covered with something, but the holes for the center and forward points are definitely not there, at least not in the outside sheetmetal. I'm not sure about the underlying support structure.
I'm sure the bolts were upgraded for safety. But I'm a bit perplexed that though they seem to feel it is very important that the shop not put the old (6mm) rails back on a car, that there was no recall or service bulletin regarding upgrading to the later (8mm) standard. At least not that I've found yet...
