I did not see this on any posts here on the front struts. When replacing the struts, make sure you get a new zinc "spacer" that goes under the spring on the strut perch. Search "zinc spacer" on a few other boards to get a better idea of it.

I assembled the strut with Eibach springs directly on the Koni strut until I can order parts and do the job all over again. Sigh.
