No experience with any of the top 4 rated tires, but note:
a) the 9-5 tends to have problems with large block and aggressive tread designs in terms of noise when partly worn and irregular rear wear. Both the Cooper and the Pirelli look good in that regard - the Michelin and Summitomo not so much. Tires I've had big problems with (noise wise) were Nokian NRZ (directional) and Eagle GT (non directional). Tires that have "gone quietly into the night" were the OE Michelin Pilot Primacy and Conti Contact 2.
b) Consumer Reports runs their own tread live test - they don't simply read the number off the sidewall. I've spoken to their chief of tire testing and he told me that the numbers are only reliable when comparing tires within the same company. Every company seems to apply their own "correction factor" to the rating, and one company's "400" treadlife number tire can last much longer than another's.
