Just spoke with my shop, they tested:
- that the hoses were hooked up correctly
- that the valve is getting vacuum
- that the valve is sending coolant fluid (eg., hot fluid) through the firewall to the heater core
So the next guess is apparently if the blend doors are jammed? I'm thinking this ISN'T the case since I'd be getting hot air from either left, front, or rear ... since the doors only "blend" and don't completely shut off anything.
Another possibility is that the heater core is now blocked or somehow plugged? So I've also asked them to test if the coolant fluid is coming back out of the firewall.
Odd thing is, my ACC was working perfectly before the bypass valve failed. I wasn't getting SUPER ICE COLD air 100% of the time like I am now.
From what I'm told, even getting to the heater core on this car is a huge job that involves taking out the dash.
Input / advice appreciated as I'm out of my depth on the schematics and specifics here. My hunch was also that the hoses were hooked up wrong and was hoping this would be a no-brainer.
Oh, and there are apparently no codes being thrown anywhere to indicate a problem (eg., from the ACC).
