I'm picking up the car now, somewhat disgusted. I need to drive it to work tomorrow and it's already been in the shop all day.
I'm not sure there's an easy way to "reverse flush" the heater core. If there is, I'd be tempted to try it myself. Tips / tricks appreciated.
Just finding out what I did today cost me about $200, that's already on top of what I just paid to fix the heater bypass valve (along with an axle seal, torque rod, etc...). So I'm in almost $1500 just this month.
The car is starting to cost quite a bit of money, but by all accounts is in "fantastic shape." Every indy shop I take it to comments on what good shape the car is in.
That and $5 will get me a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
