My wife said she wants to scrap it if I can't get it figured out by this weekend.

I took the hoses off where they meet the oil trap (broke the elbow piece), and the braided hose that leads to the throttle body was gunked up at the oil trap nipple. There was also a light brown substance, the consistency of grease, in that end of the hose. The valve is working normally.

I cleared the nipple (it was a very solid clog), loosely fitted the elbow back on the oil trap, and started it (I'll get a new plastic elbow)...now that I think of it, shouldn't oil be rushing through there? Is it possible that there's no oil running through my turbo channels? Anyway, it's still smoking. I'm not sure this kind of smoke can be from something simple like PCV. It fills the area and is very thick.

Also, there is oil residue in the intake tube that comes up from the intercooler (but I still don't think it's coming from the turbo). Could there be any other sources of oil coming into the throttle body/intake area? If not, I may drop the intercooler and try to clean it like it's never been cleaned (it's never been cleaned). The air line leading out of the turbo is still oil-free.

It's got to be the intercooler, the exhaust, or a new constant source of oil. I'm leaning toward the constant source because the smoke hasn't lightened up at all and I've idled it in my driveway for a total of about 1 hour now (broken up into 10 min. or smaller segments) and have driven it about 2 or 3 miles.
