that the engines don't typically blow up at 130k miles, that they can go 300k (not sure how easy).
It's a real shame that GM never issued a recall for the PCV on the earlier models. Combine that with the optimistic oil-change intervals many owners followed (thinking they could go the longer interval, when their driving habits were closer to "Severe"), and too many engines crapped out.
