Thought it would be easy enough, get a complete set of front and rear pads and rotors for my 02 Wagon from a site sponsor and be comfortable in the knowledge that the set was designed, and suitable for Saab.
Problems arose when I started calling around nearby repair shops (Manhattan, NY) to get them fitted. None of them wanted to do the job, given the common statement "We do not fit customer supplied parts" they all must have been reading from the same handbook.
Is this common to all mechanics, or just the ones in Manhattan?
Can anyone recommend a good reliable mechanic local or nearby to get this job done?
