Well, I am finding oil around the cover for the cam belt. It looks like the rear cams have leaky seals. The front two look OK. So according to my Catera shop manual, it says the cam bolts are not reusable. I've tried calling all over the area for the bolts and only found the short ones for the rear cams. I having little to no luck removing the cam seals. The NAPA counter Guys said to drill a hole in the seal, screw in a screw and pry out the seal. The car has 54K since the last timing belt and we want to drive across the country so I wanted to get this done. The belt, idlers, and tensioner look really good, unlike the 60K service where one of the idlers was shot, the mechanic said we were lucky it didn't jump some teeth.
.
Any thoughts on removing the seals?
