Suspension Refresh Worth It?

All, trying to decide if a suspension refresh (shocks, struts, bushings) is worth the investment. Have 175k on an '01 Wagon, suspension is all stock. Parts all in is close to $1k I think, not to mention labor for the bushings (not sure if I want to tackle those myself), and an alingment. I have replaced many other bigger ticket items (turbo, altenator) and all of the little things. Would like to keep the car around for at least 1.5 to 2 years (until the next kid, then upgrade to a bigger vehicle). Thanks for any wisdom you might have!
