I know that alternator is going to be a chore to change, had to replace my alternator bracket and had the alternator just flipping around in its little space noticing it doesn't have a way out suppose with the head off might have made it easier 240,000 is a long way off for me so there's a little sigh of relief. That's what had me puzzled with the indie with his statement and to further confirm it while I was in the shop a customer came in and we got to talking and it seems he just had his tran's blow out on him. He said the cars at 110,000 and soon after a tran's flush done by the indie the transmission lost all its fluid and burned it up. The indie was standing right there and commented that a bolt or something came lose, can't recall exactly what he said but after hearing this I was like woh. I came on saabnet and searched out the 4speed and found posts of Swedecar stating in his posts the 4speed is about bullet proof and personally Swedecar knows what he's talking about so I'm sitting here thinking how come all these saabs are loosing their transmissions. These cars are loyal customers to this indie perhaps its the shop. Awesome to hear you got so many miles out of your 4speed becouse I love the 4speed awesome takeoff with the sport button. Thanks for the input that the auto box is A#1
