The "service theft alarm" message is prompted by an error in the TWICE module (not the SID screen). Typically the source of the fault is due to faulty battery pack in the Siren module.
We usually end up just re-coding the TWICE modules to by-pass the alarm siren. Its the easiest solution, but you loose theft warning siren. And you also need a TECH 2 to do so. All door lock and remote functions remain operational, just no more siren (or horn honk, depending on how you have the coding adjustment set).
Ultimately one would want to replace the siren module, Or remove it and replace the faulty/discharged battery pack on the circuit board. If one were wanting to return the Theft warning system back to original "factory" condition.
