At least you don't have to remove it again if you properly hook it up and bleed the brakes now. And you get new brake fluid through the system.
Just snake the ABS module back in place and get the 6 screws installed and you are done.
Yes, following the WIS can sometimes lead you astray since Saab has never sold the ABS module as a separate part but you could only buy the whole ABS pump unit with module attached. That's why WIS tells you to do it that way.
