Tricky questions with no definitive answers. Many posts about this just search.
Best bet is around 25k miles for DIC or more!
The check engine light came on for the older DIC's and maybe the new ones. Not always or never does the check engine light come on.
You know that you have to change it so, change it before you're stuck on the highway.
Change the NGK spark plugs too with some dielectric grease on boot ends.
Eeuroparts has genuine DIC's which I only recommend those ( with SEM stamped, tk 3.7 ).
