Soot coating spark plugs when MAF meter is plugged in Posted by ghenry1999 [Email] (#1465) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ghenry1999) on Thu, 23 Jan 2014 18:50:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi folks. I am new to the saabnet site and am needing some help. My 2000 9-5 stalled on me and gave me blinking engine check light. Code was P1300. Checked plugs and found them covered in soot. Put new ones in and tried again after replacing the MAF meter. Same results. Now have replaced the DIC and getting more missfire with a rotten egg smell coming from the exhaust. Could this be a Catalytic converter problem? When I unplug the MAF, the car run will drive with low power, but when MAF is plugged in again, it stalls. Any help or advise would be great.
