yeah, like Gene says, you need a 9-5, ideally the same year as parts change from year to year and the 9-5 is more "electronic" and thus sensitive to parts changes. 1998-2001 should be fairly ok, but eg using a 2001 seat belt latch in a 2004 was pretty much hopeless (even though all was good mechanically).
9000 is a completely different car, and unless you were thinking of making frankenstein (which is apparently do-able if you have lots of time), I would find a 9-5, even if that means looking over a bigger radius. (Or just buy the 2 9000's and make 1 good 9000 out of them!)
