Very small amounts can leak and evaporate before you see drips on the ground. We recently had the water pump o-rings go and had to top off the coolant, at first every 2 weeks, eventually, every 2 days. There were no drips noticeable until we got in the 2-3 day range. Shortly thereafter it immediately needed changing, so we did. We knew it was the water pump due to the location of the drips. Coolant bypass valve is similar. With any of these you need to catch them before catastrophic failure, but if your leak is only 100ml every 3000 miles, I would top it off and watch for evidence of a real problem. HG would blow white smoke and eventually lose compression. I've been there before on a c900. Not the end of the world.
So, I would take note of the age and condition of all the parts in the cooling system. Then do a complete "makeover" of any suspect parts all at once, when you discover where the leak is. In the mean time, I would refill as needed and keep a close eye. Cooling system maintenance is not a reason to ditch a car imho (though I suppose that is why "leases" exist).
