I have an 05 Aero with Nav.
Drawbacks, uses a DVD that would need to be updated to show the latest most up to date roads, etc. For the most part, it's not a problem because most of the roads are the same. When in doubt, I compare to Google. If directions seem strange, I use common sense (as opposed to those that drive blindly across the dessert or down rail road tracks because the GPS told them so). The other problem is using the GPS to find restaurants, etc. These locations change a lot, but again, I use Google if I'm looking for something.
On the plus side, in dash GPS is very nice and clean compared to a unit hanging on the windshield or some other part of the dash. I also don't like the distraction of holding or looking at a phone for directions. I've found navigating by smart phone drains the battery rather quickly.
