when buying a used car... something like nav is almost completely irrelevant (or should be) compared to the condition of the vehicle and maintenance history. Rust, tranny, engine maintenance... condition of suspension and other parts (when were they last replaced or when are the due) has a much bigger bearing on what this is going to cost to own.
If you want nav and a good car doesn`t have it, pull the stereo and install nav. If you don`t want nav and the car you want comes with it, pull the nav and sell it, and get a normal radio from the junkyard.
Fixing rust or a bad tranny is 100x more difficult and costly.
