Hi Folks
My 9/5, 03, aero has about 88K miles on it. Has had syn oil just about for ever and had the new breather update kit early on. I always assumed that that should make it pretty free of the dreaded sludge. Today I was told not necessarily so and that one fellow dropping his own cars pan found a bunch of it there. What are the prospects? and do you think having the pan dropped is is a reasonable approach for this?
Also having an oil loss situation maybe a qt per 6 mos. nothing on garage floor but I do see some smoke on startup. Is it valves/rings or some oil accumulation at the turbo?
