EEuroparts xenon headlight relay upgrade: the downside

Hey everyone,
I recently bought the EEuroparts headlight relay that allows those of us with '02-'05 cars with xenons to use the halogen lights in the cluster as part of the high beams.
The Good: the lighting at night is fantastic. Twice as bright and a great upgrade from that perspective. I was really impressed with the distance from the two sets of lights together.
The Bad: I discovered that you lose the ability to flash to pass when you pull the switch inwards when the headlights are off (My DRLs are off via Tech 2 and I'm set to Euro 1...fog lights available with parking lights and middle setting on the switch illuminates only the parking lights). Significant for city driving at turns to let people in, highway, flashing the idiot that cut you off, etc.
As I live in LA, and we have plenty of artificial light at night, the flash to pass feature, honestly, is more important to me. While I like having super bright high beams, I can't justify them enough to lose the potential safety value of the flash to pass function.
I'm going to switch back to the original relay. I can always switch back if I'm headed into a highly rural area where brightness is more important and will keep it in the car.
Hope that helps everyone.
Cheers,
Paul H.
