a newer unit. Upgrades were done to this trans and 2004 and later do not have this issue. Try to source a 2008 transmission, should be about $1200 for a good used one with a warranty. I have never known of anyone having a successful long term fix by woking on the valve body. Part of the problem is that clutch pack material shreds off and get stuck in the valve body -- how will changing the valve body fix that? Good luck and keep on driving that Saab.
