My question is on whether to use a SAAB guy or a tranny guy.
After some years putting up with the clunk, on shift into fwd gears, I am considering repairing the sticking trans valve by having the valve body replacement done.
If an SAAB Indy guy (been around for decades) wants the job, do you give it to him, or to the trustworthy tranny mechanic who has worked on more of these saab volvo valvebody jobs?
top two wishes (1) not to pull the tranny and (2) not to muck things up.
I have been thru half the saabnet posts on this topic, back to the 2008 postings, and still dont know what this will cost me. Maybe $2000. Sick of the clunk gotta bite the bullet on a car only worth $4000. hah.
cheers
