Low ride height is the bane of my 9-5 Aero. Harsh ride quality, especially with 17" low profile tires and silly low ground clearance means lots of scrapes below the front bumper and occasional undercarriage damage. Yeah, on a smooth mountain road it would handle better, but in the real world we spend our time with rain gutters, potholes, railroad crossings, debris in roadway, and up north you can add ice, snow and slush to the equation. The suspension sags over time anyway, making it even lower. Mine has sagged 1-1/4" in 114k. Most days I wish I had Arc/Linear suspension on mine.
If we have not talked you out of this yet, GenuineSaab.com sells some lowering springs.
