Hello all,

I'm having a weird scenario with my '03 Aero after filling up with 91 octane gas from Costco in Los Angeles area.

I just became a Costco member as they're known for selling quality products for great prices. So i checked their website to read about their gasoline. It says since March 2014 they've become "top tier gasoline retailer with 5x additives/detergent" with same unbeatable price. So i decided to try it out on my Aero for the first time last week. As usual, i had to wait 15 minutes to get my turn to fill up as there's always a long line. Since i was still skeptical, I put the premium 91 octane. As soon as I started the engine, i got a fill coolant message, so i pulled over to check the coolant tank and it was full. I poked around the floater then restarted the engine but fill coolant message didn't go away. Manually cleared the message and just drove home stressed out. Next morning, started the engine, fill coolant msg disappeared, but engine felt taxed and soon found out temperature needle was at the bottom during my entire 40 mile commute to work. Called my mechanic about it, he said try restarting the engine, and voila, needle came back to middle and my blood pressure came back to normal. Four days later, today, decided to give costco gas one more chance. Waited 15 mins in line to fill up, restarted the engine, again, fill coolant msg and my blood pressure started to boil. Pulled over, poked the floater around, restarted the engine but damn msg remained. Manually cleared the msg and just drove back home for 40 miles, turned off the engine to pickup the mail and restarted the engine, fill coolant msg didn't come up. What's going on here? Is Costco really a top tier gas? I'm not sure whether to give a third chance or just go back to my usual 89 octane mobil/shell gas and save my health? Any connection btw costco gas and fill coolant msg?

Thanks for your input.

Regards,
Eugene

03 Aero 84K miles, just replaced water pump, heater bypass valve, thermostat, temp regulator, alternator, serpentine short belt and upper idler pulley.
