On the drivers side, pull down the knee bolster and carpet. Unplug the stepper motor, remove the stop arm (if it's there and intact) and turn the drum to the desired position. To lock it in position you could:
- there is a fair amount of friction on the drum and it might stay in place.
- install the stop arm, leave stepper motor installed but unplugged.
- install stop arm and duct tape the arm in the desired position.
