I have a second bypass valve and replaced it yesterday with the same results. I can blow on either end (big pipes) and get no bypass, if I suck on the vacuum side, it does not leak.
The bypass only goes when pulling up a hill or accelerating but my boost gauge only goes half way up now, it sometimes pushed the red before the repair.
Seems bizare but don't find anything wrong.
