I have never really believed in the "bedding in" talk. It may be necessary for track use, but come on. How many people go through the song and dance after they get brakes, and how often are there problems?
I have endured "the never ending brake job", and it was only solved when I replaced both front "Zimmerman" front rotors with white-box Chinese made rotors. The culprit was the second one I replaced, which also measured to be the flattest! As it happened, the rotor had a weird flaw which resulted in uneven expansion - it was perfect when cold, but definitely warped as it warmed up. I would do something to fix the problem, drive down the street and think, "Wow, it's perfect." Then during a high speed stop (bearing in mind I was occasionally towing my convertible) the car would shake like I was driving on railroad track ties.
Price and reputation seem to bear no relationship to whether there is a casting flaw in the rotor. You have a bad rotor. IMO.
