Based on what I know, I wouldn't deviate from the OE Dexcool. Both Dexcool and MB coolant (aka G-05) are "organic acid technology" inhibitors, but the sebacic acid type used in the G-05 deteriorates faster than the carbol acid type in Dexcool. Where the G-05 is beneficial is for systems that either can admit air into the system (older GM products , resulting in brown sludge) or those with poorly designed water pumps that experience cavitation (most famously, older Chrysler pushrod engines, resulting in water pumps with no vanes). In both of those cases, the silicate inhibitor that accompanies the organic acid inhibitor in G-05 will rescue the situation. Saabs are prone to neither.
