which engine mount leads to most idle vibration?
just replaced the original rear engine mount at 240k miles on my 1999 2.3 auto. it was in one piece but ripped half way through. replaced with new Hutchinson. torque to wheels is improved from a stop but still have major vibration at idle. this is not a belt vibration. I am on long belt and know the difference. all the other mounts except front torque rod were replaced long time ago at 128k miles. I removed the tranny upper mount under the battery and it looked great. no cracks. all in tact. solid. it was replaced at 128k so I expected it to be bad again but it was fine. so could the RH upper mount be worn out again? seems like it is probably time but wondering if anyone had opinions on which mount leads the most to very rough idle vibrations.
