My radio has developed a memory loss where it now requires re-marrying each time after its power is interrupted. So I got a used non-divorced radio with the donor car VIN and my indy is trying to marry it to the car and having problems.
My question - is it necessary to divorce the original radio first prior to going through these steps:
1. temporarily change vin in the DICE to match the donor car
2. divorce the radio
3. change back the vin back
4. marry the radio
My indy thinks the original radio has to be divorced first. Does it make sense?
