Putting on my pendantic engineers hat...
The reflectors in your car were designed to work with a specific light source. That light source included a well-defined placement relative to the reflector. Putting in a different lighting configuration may make the headlights "brighter" but the resultant beam pattern may not take advantage of this additional light.
Having said that, last year I purchased a 2007 Triumph Sprint 1050 ABS. Following the success of the Triumph Triple, this bike featured a triple theme (to go with the three cylinders), including a triple headlight system. Two low beams and a single high beam, neither of which performed very well. I think that the next year they redid the assembly. The previous owner placed xenons in for the low beams, and they work very well. I was surprised that the original halogens had a projector-style lens, but the patterns seems very good.
Your ebay link appeared to be a closed sale, so couldn't see the details of those bulbs, but perhaps they duplicate the H7 physical light characteristics close enough to work well with the stock reflectors.
I'd be concerned about the heat, and you definitely need to get that back covered up air tight. I don't know how you'll manage that. Grabbing that hat again - I'd be surprised if you don't experience problems with the dirt/moisture/heat.
good luck, report back in an year or so
