So here I am searching for an engine for my 2000 aero wagon 5speed. I'm in SC so there's a problem within itself already. But I got lucky, I end up finding an aero engine on car-part.com. I call the guy and I get a quote for $800. Yes that's right $800. I didn't have the money at the time (waiting on tax return) so I said I would call back once I had the money. The guy didn't save the quote. A month later I call back, the guy is no longer there and the ppl working there think I sound crazy when I tell them what I was quoted about a month ago (3 weeks to be exact).

They say look we have one, we don't know who gave you that quote but since it's not saved we can't give it to for that price. They tell me they can let me have it for a thousand. I say OK cause I know I will not find it cheaper. I go there, pay for it, and after a hour of waiting they finally come to me and say they don't have the engine there. They have it but it's not even out of the car yet. So the manager says to me I will give you $50 back for your gas money and time coming out here, come back in 2 days and it will be ready for you. Long story shortened a little I got a aero engine with only 74k on it. I do believe that is a deal of a lifetime.

I have just one question guys. Where do I look and what do I look for on the engine to know that it is really an aero engine and that are not just yanking my balls? I ask cause the customer service they provided me with was terrible. It seemed as if they didn't know what they were doing when it came to locating parts and getting them to customers. It was so bad that I told my wife once I get my engine I will never go back to that place unless I'm about to die and I need a part from them to keep living, and even then I will have to think about it.
