You sometimes can find salvage yard cars with good buttons. Those owners didn't have acidic finger tips which is the kiss of death to those buttons. Some people say the sticky buttons come from using hand lotion also. Whatever it is, it really wrecks those buttons over time. Sticky SID buttons aren't as common of a problem as the radio buttons are. I believe if you find good SID ones I believe you can carefully pry them out and swap them because chances are that the SID's in the junkyard will have missing pixels. The radio buttons are easiest to replace by swapping the complete faceplate. There is no need to divorce/re-marry your radio if you just swap the faceplate. It is just 2 phillips screws on each side and the faceplate comes off and is easily put back on your current unit.
