Here is what works great, only $1.00. Go to a Dollartree store, I believe it's only found there and purchase a cleaning product that they sell called Awesome. It's a gold colored liquid in a clear bottle.
While in there can buy a soft toothbrush but it may be better to use an old toothbrush. Take the toothbrush and give it a good soaking with WATER then spray it directly on the bristles and scrub away maybe repeat it a couple of times and then rinse the toothbrush and go over it again with just water and dry it. I've done this on several 9-5 sid and radio buttons,
Now I know this works on the radio and SID buttons of 1999-2005 9-5 models. I don't recommend it for any other items in other year or model vehicles because what you may find is that it will wear away lettering or any other icons on other surfaces.
