The older cars up to 2004 were certainly not pre-wired for ventilated seats.
Since Saab has been cutting costs from odel year to model year I would be amazed if they pre-wired for ventilated seats later on in thelife of the 9-5.

I'm currently retrofitting ventilated seats into a MY2000 and it is very doable if you know your way around electrical stuff but it boils down to taking the wiring related to ventilated seats from one car and adding them to the other car. Th wires are bundled together with all other wires so separating them is quite a challenge, except if the donor car is going to be scrapped anyway.
