Subframe is hanging from the car, just a couple things I must have missed before I can drop the whole thing.
I ended up separating the lower ball joint by undoing the 3 smaller bolts on the lower arm rather than the one huge clamp on the upright. In retrospect this may have been a bad idea since the bolts can't all make their way out due to clearances. We'll see.
Accidentally sheared two subframe bolts... so i'll be dealing with that.
There were some power steering (?) lines that the WIS manual didn't identify that I needed to remove on the passenger side front of the subframe. The manual is also very unclear about what needs to happen with the oil cooler. You can't hang it up with the rest of the coolers because of the hose layout.
I may have mentioned before that my car is missing an engine mount bracket. Well, I think it's also missing a flywheel cover plate. Unless the WIS is dead wrong. But the flywheel cover plate is supposed to come off with three large bolts at the bottom of the car. On my car, there are no bolts here, and no through holes on the thin sheet metal guard behind it. I'll update when I learn more..
Currently the subframe is hanging by something in the rear. Probably the steering rack servo delivery line, which I have yet to identify. Will update this weekend.
