Yes, you can go buy an used Aero ECU and install into your ARC. First, though it has to be programmed to work with YOUR SAAB before you physically install it.

Sooooo, it's not really a used Aero ECU you'll be looking for but a
SAAB 9-5 (2000 - 2004 probably) ECU that will work. It'll be programmed to your specs (tuned to your liking), by a TUNER like JZWtuning. I have it and it's super.

The CODE a TUNER would need is on your SAABs ECU. THEN it will work.
You could send in your ECU as well for tuning (save money but wait days).

Aero is a combination of HP, lowered ride, body kit, interior seats, color and sportier exhaust...

Options when tuning are many. However you can go stock Aero (stage 1) with all factory exhaust system, intake, filter...easy.

Also you could go for high Horse Power (stage 3) with large inter cooler, cobra intake pipe, no air snorkel, high fuel injectors, performance exhaust system...

Everything has to be tuned correctly (the tuner has to know what extra parts you want or have and what you want from the tune).

Also search SAABNET for more options on tuning. SEARCH "ECU" to start.
