After almost two months of not having my 2000 aero wagon I almost have it finished only to come upon these problems. To slightly bring ya'll up to speed I purchased a used engine took it to a shop to have it put in only to find out they never worked on a SAAB ever, one of them stated they never even heard of SAAB until my car got there. After a month of farting around they finally got it in only to have the exhaust cam bolt break upon the first start up. I decided to swap the heads from the old engine that came out since it was the bottom of the engine that had the problem. Got the head on and the pcv hoses hooked up and from the sketchy vacuum line pics I can find online I believe I have them routed right, although I don't believe I do. So here I am with the problems from the subject line. When I start the car I get a high rpm of about 2.5k and it takes a while to idle down to 1k. If I tap the gas it revs high as if I'm stepping on the gas and once again takes a while to idle down. It will idle for a good 1 to 2 mins then the oil light will start to flicker. I shut it off for about 10 mins and started it again and it did the same thing, I tapped the gas and it revved up to about 2.5k and the light went from a flicker to solid on. I shut if off soon as I saw the light come on. The guy at the shop says it might be a bad vacuum route that has it revving high which I believe simply because I am unable to find a decent vacuum routing diagram anywhere. I think the only hose that I have right is the hose from the turbo bypass valve to the vacuum valve. I also have a second vacuum valve that I do not remember being there before the swap, but it is part of the harness so it must have been there and I never paid it any attention, but it is not connected to anything, I have no idea where that goes. Could that be a problem? I also have no hose connected to the coolant bypass valve, not sure where that hose is suppose to come from. Also my valves are very chattery could that be that I may have put the cam bolts in the wrong way? I was not the one that took them out so I did not know they had to go in a specific way until just yesterday when I started looking into the vacuum lines. As of now I am going to change the oil pressure sensor and see what happens. Any input from you guys would be great help. I'm hoping that I don't have to go into changing the oil pump. And can someone please point me to the direction of a good vacuum hose routing diagram please.
