MY 2005 9-5 Aero with 96,000 miles hesitates to accelerate from stand still. I've red all the posts on the subject, and what seems to be unique in my case is that the car is perfect following the ECU reset - disconnection of the battery cable. After 10-20 miles, the adaptation brings in the sluggishness.

I also have '00 9-5 Aero, and it is so much more responsive. It pains me to drive the '05 (so my son does it...)
Here is my best description of how the car behaves: When I step on the gas, the engine quickly ramps to ~2000 RPMs while the boost gauge gets up to the beginning of the orange sone. The car then sits there for about one second, struggling to ramp from ~2000 RPMs to ~2600 RPMs. Once the engine has ramped over ~2600 rams, the power becomes readily available.

My Saab specialist has done quite a bit of work / investigation on the car:
- No CEL codes, of course.
- Confirmed proper operation of DIC and spark plugs (both replaced at 90k, tested with NKG PFR6H10 and BCPR6ES copper plugs as well).
- All filters replaced (fuel, oil, air) replaced at 90k
- Test engine induction / turbo system and no leaks were found
- Cleaned Throttle Body
- Tested with a known good Air Mass Meter - no improvement
- CPS seem to be functioning properly - perfect hot starts all the time
- Using Chevron 91 gas, with 3-4 bottles of fuel injector cleaner over the last 2-3k miles

One of the clues is that the Air Mass Meter deviation is high, at +9% to 12% on idle. It should be ~0 or slightly negative. However, the knock counter is not racking up numbers fast, and no misfire count was noticed.

Please let me know what you think, and if I can provide additional details.
